STranslate Translation Software

1. Download and Installation

Download link: https://github.com/STranslate/STranslate/releases

If you’re on Windows, you can usually just use STranslate-winp-Setup.exe. Installation steps are omitted here.

2. Connection Setup

1) Click the gear icon to open Settings

2) Go to Add Channel

3) Select the OpenAI channel

4) Configure the URL and KEY

5) Configure the model and verify it

6) Enable the channel and special translation features

7) Configure text recognition

Set it up the same way as text translation above. Why does it need to be configured this way? I never quite figured it out while using it. Anyway, image translation doesn’t seem to work with just text translation configured — text recognition also has to be set up.

Image Translation in Practice

Let’s look at the final result first.

1) Enable the display text configuration

2) Screenshot image translation

Use the ALT + S shortcut to enter the mouse screenshot capture feature.

3) Start translating

Click [Image Translation] to see the result.

If you want to translate an image file already on your computer instead of translating a screenshot, you can also click the image button in the picture to upload an image for translation.
