Configure Base URL and API Key

After installation, open the app and choose [Use your own API Key or local model]

Choose [OpenAI] or [Claude]. In most cases, choose OpenAI. If you want to use Claude models, choose Claude.

Configure the base URL, API key, and model list

Because the software itself (Chatbox in this tutorial) maintains a dictionary of model capabilities, and new models may not have been added to that dictionary yet, all capability options are unchecked by default. (A quick jab at Chatbox: why not just check them all by default? If a model really can’t use a feature, deal with that later. Having to check them all manually again is a bit annoying.)

Generally, most new models support these capabilities now.
