Omate Virtual Chat
Section titled “Omate Virtual Chat”1. Basic Configuration
Section titled “1. Basic Configuration”The basic Omate configuration is shown below. The top section is for the configuration URL and the chat model. Once these are set up, you can go to the chat page and start chatting.
The embedding model below is used for memory and the knowledge base. If you want to trigger memories from a character’s chat history, or import a knowledge base such as scripts or worldbuilding materials, you need to configure it. If you are using 4All API for both and the same key, you only need to configure the model name.

2. Configure the Embedding (Vector) Model URL and KEY Separately
Section titled “2. Configure the Embedding (Vector) Model URL and KEY Separately”If your chat model is from another provider, or if you are using 4All API for both but purchased a separate low-cost embedding plan — meaning a different key — then you need to configure the embedding model’s URL and KEY separately. An example is shown below:

3. Importing a Knowledge Base
Section titled “3. Importing a Knowledge Base”- Other Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Knowledge Base Management

- After importing the script file, click the icon button on the right. When the progress indicator appears as shown, it means the knowledge base is being parsed into chunks. Success!
