Today, in Search Labs, we announced AI Mode, a brand-new search experience. Powered by the latest Gemini 2.0 model, it is better equipped to handle complex questions that require reasoning, comparison, and planning.
AI Mode combines Google Search’s real-time access to web information with powerful generative AI, making it possible to get answers that are more comprehensive, more in-depth, and more personalized. You can ask longer, more complex questions, just as you would when speaking with an expert, and continue to explore further by asking follow-up questions.
It is also helpful for a wider range of tasks, such as comparing different options, planning a trip, or exploring an entirely new topic.
AI Mode is currently being gradually rolled out to more users, and we will continue improving the experience based on feedback.
