Capturing 90% of the Market

By Yunzhong, reporting from Aofeisi

On September 3, 2026, Inceptio Technology announced that the commercial operating mileage of its autonomous trucking systems had surpassed 1 billion kilometers, creating the industry’s largest pool of real-world operational data assets.

Inceptio currently leads China’s intelligent trucking market with a market share of over 90%. It has also completed a strategic upgrade from “autonomous driving” to “Freight Physical AI,” building a full-scenario freight robot network covering trunk routes, branch routes/urban distribution, and last-mile delivery.

Leading Commercialization: From Value Realization to Scale Advantage

To date, Inceptio’s intelligent driving systems cover 97% of the expressway network. Its users span a wide range of sectors, including express delivery, less-than-truckload logistics, dedicated freight lines, cold-chain logistics, general merchandise, and milk tankers. Inceptio Technology’s market share exceeds 90%.

In heavy-truck procurement in 2026, several leading express delivery companies have made intelligent driving a standard feature on 100% of their new vehicles.

Behind this trend is the widespread realization of autonomous driving’s multiple benefits in freight transportation, including improved safety, reduced labor requirements, less physical effort, and lower fuel or gas consumption.

The 1 billion kilometers of autonomous driving mileage marks a dual milestone for Inceptio Technology: both the scale and the quality of its data assets.

Technological Advancement: Native “Freight Physical AI”

Inceptio Technology has recognized that autonomous driving for trucks differs fundamentally from that for other vehicle categories in terms of vehicle physics, driving behavior, interactions with traffic flows, and transportation scenarios.

Drawing on the industry’s largest-scale commercial autonomous trucking operations and accumulated system-level expertise, Inceptio Technology has pioneered the development of Freight Physical AI, a technology foundation native to freight scenarios. It offers three core capabilities:

1. Freight-Native Intelligence

Inceptio’s end-to-end models are designed natively around freight transportation needs. They integrate the physical characteristics of trucks, driving behavior, and real-world operational scenarios into the model architecture and training system. This creates model design and training methodologies purpose-built for freight, enabling end-to-end intelligence to truly adapt to the freight environment.

Inceptio’s Freight World Model differs from a generic virtual world built with generative foundation models. Centered on the authenticity of freight transportation, the model learns from real-world freight scenario data and reconstructs, from a truck-centric perspective, the real interactions between freight vehicles, other road users, and the road environment. It then generates high-fidelity training and testing data from the perspective of freight vehicles, more accurately reproducing freight scenarios and supporting the training, testing, and continuous iteration of end-to-end models.

2. Scenario Intelligence

This capability enables systems to understand and manage real-world freight scenarios.

Powered by 1 billion kilometers of autonomous driving data, Inceptio has established one of the industry’s most advanced freight scenario identification and management systems, along with a super data factory.

Inceptio’s proprietary Real-world Operation Scenario Library (ROSL) has accumulated hundreds of thousands of high-value scenarios. Its high-quality real-world freight data accelerates the iterative improvement of autonomous trucking capabilities.

3. Operational Intelligence

This extends the intelligence of individual vehicles into collaborative intelligence across an entire autonomous fleet.

Inceptio’s cloud-based “Operational Brain” platform processes relevant risks and alerts identified by individual autonomous trucks in real time, transforming them into intelligent capabilities shared across every vehicle in the fleet. It elevates the fleet’s capabilities in risk identification and warning, energy-consumption optimization and route planning, as well as transportation cost and efficiency, providing the strongest support for the efficiency and safety of the next-generation freight robot network.

Expanding Freight Physical AI Across All Scenarios and Accelerating Global Deployment

Built on its native Freight Physical AI technology foundation, Inceptio Technology has developed a full-scenario freight robot network covering trunk routes, branch routes/urban distribution, and last-mile delivery.

In trunk-route transportation, while maintaining its decisive lead in the L2+ market, Inceptio Technology has obtained L4 testing licenses in Zhejiang, Beijing, Hainan, and several other regions. It has also joined JD Logistics in pioneering L4 trunk-route freight demonstrations on open roads.

In branch-route and urban-distribution transportation, Inceptio Technology, together with SF Express and Liuzhou Chenglong, became the first to launch commercial pilot operations of autonomous light trucks on public roads in May this year. Its overseas business has also achieved substantive breakthroughs in Europe, Japan, and the Middle East.

Standing at the 1 billion-kilometer milestone, Inceptio Technology is using native Freight Physical AI as its engine to transform vast amounts of real-world operational data into intelligent productivity, accelerating toward a safer, more efficient, and smarter future for logistics.
