Your First Personal Robot Is Now Available for Preorder! SWANCOR New Materials Ushers in the Era of Consumer Home Robots

On August 23, Qiyuan Robotics, a subsidiary of SWANCOR Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SWANCOR”), officially opened preorders for its two products, the Qiyuan Q1 and Qiyuan T1. Users can place preorders through the official SWANCOR Qiyuan mini program, as well as the company’s official stores on Tmall, Douyin, and Bilibili, or by participating in offline experiential events. Customers who place preorders will enjoy multiple benefits, including cash discounts, launch-exclusive gifts, and dedicated services. Initial shipments are expected to begin in September 2026.

The official launch of preorders for these two products marks Qiyuan Robotics’ further transition from product demonstrations and offline experiences into the mass consumer market. For the embodied intelligence industry, which continues to explore viable commercialization pathways, this also signals that consumer humanoid robots are accelerating beyond the pilot phase of “sample experiences” and completing the critical transition from “being experienced” to “being purchased.” The industry has officially entered a key window for consumer-facing commercialization and real-world market validation, and the era of robots entering the home is drawing closer.

Beyond the Era of Product Demonstrations: Qiyuan Robotics Makes a Critical Commercialization Breakthrough

The preorder program offers users multiple benefits: customers who pay a RMB 1,000 deposit can deduct RMB 2,000 from the remaining purchase balance. Within 30 days of purchasing a robot, they can also buy the Care protection package, official accessories, and merchandise at 70% of the regular price. Customers who place preorders will receive a complete launch-edition collector’s gift box containing a personally signed letter from Zhihui Jun, a collector’s card for founding users, and a launch-exclusive robot figurine. They will also receive priority access to customization options for the Qiyuan Q1’s exterior. In addition, preorder customers will receive an extra six months of full-device warranty coverage and enjoy priority access to a dedicated one-on-one customer service channel.

Previously, the Qiyuan Q1 and Qiyuan T1 had already accepted a limited number of preorders at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and 2026 ChinaJoy, while offline trial experiences and employee purchase events were held in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and other cities. With this public preorder launch, ordinary consumers can move beyond trying out demonstration units and take the next step toward owning a personal robot of their own.

For SWANCOR, this preorder launch also represents an important milestone in the commercialization of its consumer embodied intelligence robotics business.

According to SWANCOR’s 2026 interim report, the company has launched two consumer embodied intelligence robot products—the Qiyuan Q1 and Qiyuan T1—establishing an initial product portfolio. It has recorded RMB 210 million in advance payments for consumer embodied intelligence robots, while offline experience stores now cover seven core cities. Its e-commerce channels and broader industry ecosystem are also continuing to develop.

Technology R&D is the foundation of business growth. In the first half of 2026, SWANCOR invested RMB 160 million in R&D for its consumer embodied intelligence robotics business. Its research covers core technologies including AI models, embodied intelligence algorithms, motion intelligence, interactive intelligence, and lightweight joints, laying a solid technical foundation for product iteration and large-scale commercialization.

A supporting supply chain for mass production is also being developed in parallel. Previously, SWANCOR signed an agreement with Lens Intelligent Robotics, a subsidiary of Lens Technology, to establish a cooperation project for a robot production line with an initial capacity of tens of thousands of units. It also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Wolong Electric Drive covering production lines for core components.

Accelerating the Breakthrough in the Consumer Market: New Robot Offerings for the Home

As the AI and embodied intelligence industries evolve rapidly, robots are moving beyond their role as specialized equipment and productivity tools in industrial and commercial settings and gradually entering the mass consumer market as a new product category for individuals and families.

At the policy level, in June this year, the Ministry of Commerce and seven other government departments issued the Opinions on Implementing Measures to Accelerate the Development of “AI + Consumption”. AI-powered robots were identified as a new form of consumer supply.

On the industry side, multiple companies unveiled consumer-facing embodied intelligence products at the 2026 World Robot Conference. The industry is moving beyond theatrical technology demonstrations toward practical implementation driven by real market demand.

At the same time, as technologies such as AI capabilities, motion control, and human-robot interaction continue to mature, the scope of robots’ applications in the home is also expanding. The value of robots in the home is no longer limited to performing household chores; they can also support intelligent interactive services, content creation, AI education, family companionship, learning, entertainment, and other diverse scenarios.

Compared with industrial and commercial robots, consumer robots designed for individuals and families must adapt to open, complex, and highly personalized environments. This places higher demands on intelligence, human-robot interaction, and product design.

As the world’s first small-sized humanoid robot with full-body force control, the Qiyuan Q1 stands approximately 88 centimeters tall and weighs about 15 kilograms. It is designed for scenarios including embodied intelligence development, technology-focused toys, and family companionship. The Qiyuan T1 is the world’s first transformable personal robot. It stands approximately 100 centimeters tall and weighs about 16 kilograms. It can autonomously switch between wheeled-legged humanoid and quadruped forms, serving diverse scenarios such as family companionship, outdoor accompaniment, and visual content creation.

The two products offer lightweight personal robot experiences from different perspectives, including compact portability, multi-form transformation, and open co-creation. They are helping embodied intelligence move beyond laboratories and exhibition booths and truly enter homes across the country.

A research report from Soochow Securities notes that consumer embodied intelligence is rapidly moving beyond simple technology demonstrations and entering a development stage characterized by penetration into real-world needs such as gaming and interaction, tech-toy social experiences, and companionship services. Product attributes are evolving from standardized hardware toward customizable and extensible personal intelligent terminals. The consumer era of embodied intelligence is arriving faster, and robots entering the home will become an increasingly clear trend.
