Gas Town was meant to be reusable, but in the end, I only ever used it to build itself. In Opus 4.7, Gas Town started falling apart. Prior to 4.6, it worked beautifully. In 4.7, we saw the introduction of the “just two more things” tic, which meant Opus could never converge on being ready to do actual work—it always wanted to fiddle with Gas Town itself. This tic in Opus never went away, so Gas Town was effectively burned to the ground. It had other problems, but version 4.7 was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
