The pace of AI development has outstripped the ability of traditional learning and teaching methods to keep up. With new concepts, skills, ideas, and tools emerging almost every day, we need a new way to teach and learn these technologies.
Since Google and Kaggle first launched their “5-Day Intensive Courses” in 2024, more than 2 million learners and developers have taken part in these free, multimodal courses. In our latest collaboration—a five-day intensive Vibe Coding course on AI Agents, jointly hosted with Google—more than 353,000 people registered. Together, we explored the cutting edge of Vibe Coding: programming through natural language. The course covered the complete lifecycle of designing, securing, and deploying production-grade AI agents in the cloud. The enthusiastic response from participants showed that developers are ready to take their prototypes “from vibe to production.”
Hundreds of thousands of learners came together to collaborate in real time through codelabs and technical white papers. The central hub for this collaboration was Kaggle Discord, where more than 392,000 active participants exchanged code, debugged together, and formed study groups.
The capstone project put the week’s learning into practice. We received more than 6,000 project submissions, with over 12,000 active participants taking part in the capstone project.
These projects showcased the extraordinary creativity, technical ability, and imagination of the global AI developer community. From advanced digital humanities tools—such as the historical manuscript transcription pipeline Palimpsest—to sophisticated space weather research systems like Project ARIES, the quality of the entries made it difficult to select the top projects. You can view all the winning teams and their capstone projects on our website.
We look forward to deepening our collaboration and exploring future learning opportunities. If you would like to continue learning, you can keep building your skills by participating in ongoing Kaggle competitions, or stay connected with other learners on Kaggle Discord. If you missed the online event in June but still want to learn, all the course materials are available through the self-paced Kaggle Learn guide.
